The design preserves the silhouette created by the striking cubatures of the Schwankhaus, fermentation house, brewhouse and machine house. The building fabric of the former brewery site, which is worthy of preservation and is characteristic of the cityscape, is to be sensibly transferred to new uses.
The concept of the urban quarter is based on the idea of sensitively fitting and integrating the new buildings and preserving the existing ones.
