The competition procedure for the residential and boarding house Hafenallee 1 of the real estate group GOC in cooperation with Zollhafen Mainz GmbH and the city of Mainz was decided on Thursday, September 24, 2020.
The design of the residential and boarding house was based on the principle of axis alignment with the geometry of the diamond-shaped plot. Residential modules with axes of 3.65m, 4.45m and 4.60m were developed to meet requirements such as apartment sizes, sound insulation and outdoor spaces. All access cores are connected and barrier-free. All apartments have open spaces, loggias, balconies or private gardens on the first floor.
