Twelve three-storey, solid apartment buildings with a total of 115 residential units were realised on a 14,500 square metre site in Frankfurt's Riedberg district.
The houses are characterised by a modern, elegant and gently curved architectural language. Accents in colour and materiality emphasise the rounded edges and individualise the asymmetrical shapes at the entrances and in the balcony areas. The balconies are recessed into the building volume and lend it structure.
The houses create individuality in unity. They all come together in a uniform and elegant architectural language. The houses are aligned parallel to the surrounding streets. At the same time, they are positioned at a slight angle to each other on the site. In the future, this timeless quarter will represent individual living in a green environment but close to the city of Frankfurt.
One third of the rental apartments are subsidised by "Frankfurt’s family and senior-friendly rental housing programme". The barrier-free floor plans more than meet the requirements of the HBO, and the buildings are also planned as passive-energy homes.
The construction contract was submitted in May 2017- the ‘groundbreaking ceremony’ and start of construction took place in June 2017.
